if i had a house in perth, australia, how much does it cost (or approximate) to change names of ownership? (for example: from MY house to MY MOM'S house).

Unless it was because you died, you have to pay stamp duty on the house which is a % of the value of the house - e.g. 400K house could be 15K stamp duty or more..
