Hard drives names changed..c: turned to d:...how to change back?

I re-did my windows on my computers and i have two hard drives...one has a partition and the other ones seperate...when i re-did my windows i installed it on the wrong drive and somehow the drives changed...eg. c: turned into d: ..etc how can i change that...

and another question is now that i windows installled on two drives how can i format one and keep the other eg. vista on d: and xp on c:..? thanks for your helpHard drives names changed..c: turned to d:...how to change back?
On install it assigns drive letters: primary master, primary partition %26gt; c:

secondary master, primary partition %26gt; d:

primary master, 2nd primary or extended %26gt; e: and others from that disc

and so on

Since you have 2 disks with both 1 partition you'd think you can swap primary master and secondary master, but i dont think it will even boot. mbr is written on primary master poiting to seconday master, unless you had bios start with secondary master as boot device.

Id have to check... lol

Doesnt really matter cause xp will still want to be on d: and keep that letter for itself, since all mappings are so.

Youd have to reinstall, or:

Swap disks and put in install cd and chose repair mbr for primary master disk

2) XP supports multi boot so thats easy. Vista too i think.

get your xp good... then install vista and chose the right hard disc to install to...

it will prolly recognize the xp and prompt if you want to keep that and be able to boot it. If not... try vista first then xp.
