Hi, this is what I did, Control + click, or in newer macs its secondary click, you get a small pop up menu, then just click on EDIT NICKNAME and change to whatever you want. This worked for me so hope it helps.

How do I change the names in the msn messenger in a Mac?
I mean when I open the messenger the names of my contacts appear as the full E-Mail but I want to change it to their real name!How do I change the names in the msn messenger in a Mac?
