How to change name of hyperlink?

Does anyone know how to change the name of hyperlinks, when writing in forums for example? I have a long URL to post that I don't want copied as text. I just want it to say ';click here';.How to change name of hyperlink?
Just write %26lt;a href=';...long url...';%26gt;click here%26lt;/a%26gt; and it will show as ';click here';How to change name of hyperlink?
This is what a link looks like in HTML which is the language for a web page. The code for a link will look like this just replace the url with the one you want %26lt;a HREF='; http://www.foo.com/index.html'; %26gt;Click here!%26lt;/a%26gt;
You do not need to change the *name*.

There two different entities: the link itself and the text to be displayed.

For example:

%26lt;a href=';some_fully_qualified_url_with_http?in quotes';%26gt; (Text you want to display) %26lt;/a%26gt;
Nice answers...shame they're not for this question

When posting in a forum, such as this one, any link will show as the full version, so pop over to http://tinyurl.com and use that to re-direct the short URL to the one you want to make available.
