Hi can can some help me in this i want to change my name i mean middle name and last name what is the procedures for that and what is gazette where is it and what to do with that what are the charges please help me its very very urgent for me.Need to know how to change name and what is the procedures?
Every State in India has a Department of Stationery's and Printing you must enquire the Director of that Department and they will not only guide you but will facilitate in changing your name.Need to know how to change name and what is the procedures?
We need to know what jurisdiction you are in. Gazette tells me probably not in the US
you need to prepare an affidavit to change the name give advertisement in two newspapers one english and other local language about change of name and you should get the name change in official gazette of India.
- Approach appropriate authority - local or state

- Fill up form/s provided by them and resubmit along with relevant docs

- You may have to file an Affidavit - Write up will be provided by the authority.

- You need to publish an ad in newspaper - write up will be provided by the concerned Dept.

- After a month or two of submission, it will appear in Govt. Gazette, then it becomes official.
