When my employer changed company name taxes/ ytd on paystub zero'd out started over-Did the EIN change.?

When they changed names i noticed on stubs that ytd/ taxes withheld ALL that started back to zero again come next paystub with new names. Does that mean a new EIN and @x's W-2's cause I wanted to file with stubs like i did last year? I dont see how else it would go back down like that? When my employer changed company name taxes/ ytd on paystub zero'd out started over-Did the EIN change.?
You will get 2 W-2s. One under the old EIN, one under the new EIN.

You must wait for the W-2s before you can file. When my employer changed company name taxes/ ytd on paystub zero'd out started over-Did the EIN change.?
When you say EIN that refers to the businesses tax ID #, if they are just doing business under a new name usually they will not change the EIN # but maybe you should ask the payroll or HR department for clarification.

You should be able to take your last pay stub (with the old name) and then your end of the year pay stub (with the new name) and your accountant should be able to use those to do your taxes.

Good luck
If the business just changed names (Joe's Restaurant to Fred's Resturant) but had the same owners the taxpayer is the same, just calling himself Fred instead of Joe and there is no change in payroll reporting and the same Employer ID number is used. If Joes Resturant Inc sells the business to Freds Resturant Inc Freds is a new taxpayer and starts over.
Probably the EIN changed. And since the numbers all started from zero, your last pay stub definitely doesn't have the whole year on it. You might get two W-2's, one for each of the company names. Don't even think of trying to file from your last paystub - it's illegal anyway, but will just make trouble for you if you do.
